The trust
This site is run by Sant Shri Asharamji Ashram Trust - Sumerpur, HQ Railway Station Road, Sumerpur, Dist- Pali, Rajasthan - 306902, registered under Reg. No 06/91, Pali 04/03/1991. Using this site to make a donation means you accept these terms and our privacy policy.
A donation is voluntary
What you give here is a voluntary contribution towards the trust’s charitable work — Ashram Sewa or Gaushala Sewa, as you choose on the form. It is not a payment for goods, a service, a membership, a booking or an entitlement of any kind, and it does not create one. The trust decides how the funds are applied within the purpose you selected.
Who may donate
- You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a contract.
- You must use a payment method that belongs to you or that you are authorised to use.
- The details you enter must be true and complete. The receipt is printed from them, and a receipt with the wrong name or address on it is of no use to you.
- The funds must be lawfully yours. Donations from outside India are subject to the law on foreign contributions, and the trust may decline or return any amount it is not permitted to accept.
Amounts, PAN and Aadhaar
- The smallest donation this site accepts is Rs 1 and the largest is Rs 5,00,000. For a larger contribution, please contact the ashram directly.
- Above Rs 2,000, your PAN — or, if you have no PAN, your Aadhaar number — is required and must be entered on the form. At or below that amount it is optional.
- All amounts are in Indian Rupees.
How the payment is made
Payment is taken by our payment gateway, GetePay. When you press the donate button you leave this site for GetePay’s own secure page and enter your card, UPI or net-banking details there. Those details are never entered on this site and are never stored by us. Your bank or payment provider’s own terms apply to that step, and any charge it levies is between you and it.
A donation is complete only when the gateway confirms the payment to us. Until then the donation is recorded as pending. If your money has left your account but this site still shows the donation as pending or failed, do not pay again — write to us with the date, the amount and your bank’s reference, and we will trace it.
Your receipt
A receipt carrying the trust’s registration details is issued for every successful donation. It is available to download as soon as the payment is confirmed, is emailed to the address you gave, and stays in your account if you have one. If it does not reach you, check your spam folder first and then write to us.
Tax
Donations made through this site do not carry an exemption under section 80G of the Income-tax Act. The trust’s registration number is printed on the receipt so the trust can be identified, and for no other purpose. Nothing on this site is tax advice; if the treatment of your donation matters to you, please ask your own adviser before you give.
Refunds
A completed donation is not ordinarily refundable. The narrow cases in which a payment can be reversed, and how to ask, are set out in our refund & cancellation policy.
Your account
An account is optional — you can donate without one. If you have one, keep your password and any verification code to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into it. We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, for abuse of the site, or to attempt payments that are not yours to make.
Using this site properly
Do not attempt to break into, overload, scrape or interfere with this site or the systems behind it, and do not use it to test stolen payment details. Attempts are logged and may be reported.
Availability
We try to keep the site available, but we cannot promise it will never be down. It may be unavailable during maintenance, or when the payment gateway, the bank or a network in between is not working. The trust is not liable for a donation that could not be made because of such an interruption, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes
These terms may change. The version on this page at the time you donate is the one that applies to that donation, and the date at the top says when it was last revised.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts at Pali, Rajasthan have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Contact
Anything about these terms, a donation or a receipt goes to the addresses on our contact page.
