Privacy Policy
This page explains what this donation site collects about you, why it needs it, and who else sees it.

Who this is about
This site is operated by Sant Shri Asharamji Ashram Trust - Sumerpur, HQ Railway Station Road, Sumerpur, Dist- Pali, Rajasthan - 306902 (Reg. No 06/91, Pali 04/03/1991). In this policy “the trust”, “we” and “us” mean that trust, and “you” means anyone who uses this site to make a donation or to look at their past receipts.
It covers this donation site only. Other websites run by the ashram, and any site you reach by following a link from here, have their own policies.
What we collect
When you make a donation, the form asks for:
- your full name;
- your email address and mobile number, so the receipt can reach you;
- your postal address — district, state, country and pincode, and if you give them, flat or house number, premises, road and area — because it is printed on the receipt;
- the amount you are giving and whether it is for Ashram Sewa or Gaushala Sewa;
- your PAN or, if you have no PAN, your Aadhaar number — optional at or below Rs 2,000 and one of the two required above it. Only the last four digits of an Aadhaar number are printed on the receipt or shown on screen.
If you create an account, we also keep the email address or mobile number you signed in with, and the details you choose to save in your profile so you do not have to type them again. If you set a password, only a scrambled form of it is stored — we cannot read it, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.
Our servers also keep ordinary technical records — the time of a request, the page asked for, and errors — which is how a failed payment can be traced afterwards.
What we never collect
Card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, net-banking passwords and OTPs for payment are not entered on this site and are never stored here. When you press the donate button you leave this site for the secure page of our payment gateway, GetePay, and you type those details there. What comes back to us is the outcome of the payment, a transaction reference, and the payment method used — never the credentials themselves.
Why we use it
- To take your donation and to tell you whether it succeeded.
- To generate your receipt and send it to you, and to keep it available in your account.
- To keep the trust’s books, and to satisfy the record-keeping and reporting duties that apply to a registered trust receiving donations.
- To verify that a mobile number or email address belongs to you before letting it into an account.
- To answer you when you write to us about a donation or a receipt.
- To keep the site working and to investigate misuse.
We do not use your details to advertise to you, and we do not sell, rent or trade them to anyone.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in with Google is offered so you do not have to keep another password. If you use it, Google tells us your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier, and nothing else. We use them only to create and identify your account on this site and to send your receipt.
We never receive your Google password, and we ask Google for no access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service. We do not share what Google gives us with anyone beyond the service providers listed below, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can withdraw this access at any time from your Google account’s security settings, and you can ask us to delete the account it created here by writing to us.
Who else sees it
Only staff of the trust who handle donations and receipts can see donor records, and only after signing in to the accounts panel. Beyond them, your details reach a small number of service providers, each for one purpose:
- GetePay, our payment gateway, which takes the payment. Your name, email, mobile number and the amount go to it so the payment can be made and matched.
- Supabase, which hosts the database and the sign-in system holding your account and donation records.
- Our email provider, which delivers the receipt and any sign-in code sent by email.
- AiSensy, a WhatsApp Business provider, which carries the verification code when you sign in with a mobile number. The code goes to your number over WhatsApp; we do not send marketing on WhatsApp.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, as described above.
We may also disclose records where the law requires it — to a court, to the income tax authorities, or to a regulator or auditor entitled to see them.
How long we keep it
A donation record and its receipt are accounting records of the trust and are kept for as long as the law requires them to be kept, which is a period of years and not something you can ask us to shorten. Your account is different: if you ask us to close it, we remove your profile and your sign-in details, and the donation records that remain are kept against the receipts rather than against a login.
What you can do
- See and correct the details we hold about you at any time on your profile page.
- Find every receipt issued to you in your account.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or close your account, by writing to the address on our contact page.
We may need to confirm who you are before acting on such a request — usually by sending a code to the email address or mobile number on the account.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type reaches us encrypted. Passwords are stored only in hashed form. The staff panel is behind a sign-in and is limited to staff accounts. No system is perfect, and we do not pretend otherwise — but nothing that would let someone spend your money is kept here in the first place.
Cookies
This site sets cookies for one reason: to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure while you move between pages. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. If you block cookies, donating still works, but signing in does not.
Children
This site is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect details from a child; if you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will remove them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page and the date at the top of it changes. Continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about the details we hold, go to the addresses on our contact page.
